چکیده

The phase-down of hydrofluorocarbons and substitution with low global warming potential values are consequences the awareness about environmental impacts greenhouse gases. This theoretical study evaluated energy exergy performances impact three vapor compression system configurations operating hydrocarbons R290, R600a, R1270 as alternatives to R134a. refrigeration cycle investigated in this include a single-stage cycle, equipped an internal heat exchanger, two-stage injection. According results, alternative hydrocarbon refrigerants could provide comparable performance analysis results also revealed that using exchanger or flash tank injection improve system’s efficiency while decreasing heating capacity. most efficient configuration was injection, by analysis. indicated utilization environmentally-friendly improving mitigate equivalent CO2 emissions significantly. reduced carbon footprint 50%, 1% 8% reduction be achieved

The energy and exergy analysis of a novel cogeneration organic Rankine power and two-stage compression refrigeration cycle

The energy crisis in recent years has led to the use of thermodynamic cycles that work based on renewable energies. Low-temperature cycles—such as organic cycles—are suitable strategies for the application of renewable energies. The present study proposes a novel cycle through the integration of a two-stage compression refrigeration cycle with a combined Rankine power and ejector refrigerat...

Comparative Exergy Analysis of Vapor Compression Refrigeration System Using Alternative Refrigerants

Abstract—In present paper, the performance of various alternative refrigerants is compared to find the substitute of R22, the widely used hydrochlorofluorocarbon refrigerant in developing countries. These include the environmentally friendly hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants such as R134A, R410A, R407C and M20. In the present study, a steady state thermodynamic model (includes both first and...

Transient Exergy Destruction Analysis of a Vapor Compression System

Through online optimization and control, vapor compression systems (VCSs) can effectively respond to disturbances, such as weather or varying loads that cannot be accounted for at the design stage, while simultaneously maximizing system efficiency. However, to do so requires a mathematical characterization of efficiency for the VCS. In particular, we would like to maximize the exergetic efficie...

Parametric and working fluid analysis of a combined organic Rankine-vapor compression refrigeration system activated by low-grade thermal energy

The potential use of many common hydrofluorocarbons and hydrocarbons as well as new hydrofluoroolefins, i.e. R1234yf and R1234ze(E) working fluids for a combined organic Rankine cycle and vapor compression refrigeration (ORC-VCR) system activated by low-grade thermal energy is evaluated. The basic ORC operates between 80 and 40 °C typical for low-grade thermal energy power plants while the basi...
